A poem I wrote out of sudden inspiration... They're always said to be the better ones from an individual.

Reality's grip is too hard to handle,

It's almost like I've little light but still blow out the candle.

It was so much better when I had a steady leg,

but instead you were amputated,

even when I begged.

Reality's a funny thing which seems to come and go,

I prefer my other world where I can insist no.

It was obvious you weren't to stay,

but that's just the real world,

and it's wicked way.

Some things are meant to happen,

but this wasn't their friend.

Now it suffers deadly wounds which no friendship could mend.

Some people are meant to be,

I think most people would agree,

but when it comes to you and I,

I guess it's only me.
