I met an odd man on the street
I stopped and said, "Hello"
But he just smiled and went his way
And left me thinking, so

Questions ran laps in my brain
But words had ceased to come
Instead I watched his shadow shrink
Into the setting sun

Who was this odd man
I'm not sure, but what I know is this
His face is very queer
And almost always clothed in bliss

Two orb-like eyes adorn the brow
Of this, the strange old man
His hair, eyebrows and moustace match
The colour of a tin can

A large white beard hangs from his chin
The lips are thin and red
And though they never move
Many thoughts and things are said

I met an odd man on the street
I stopped and said, "Hello"
But he just smiled and went his way
And left me thinking, so...
