There she lay,
Quiet and still,
Gone were her sorrows,
Gone were her pains.
Pale beauty,
Stiff and breathless.
Soft locks of hair,
Tangled now reposed.
Smile of content,
Of joy, or relief,
For the choice she made,
Letting it all go.
Lifeless, spiritless,
Freed from shackles.
Never, not ever,
Shall anything harm her.
No more sorrows,
No more pains.
Forever young,
Forever she would stay.
