Summary

When God takes away something we treasure too much, it hurts beyond words. Sometimes we wonder, was there really any justification for that, God? But well, He is nothing short of who He has always been - GOD!

You created me a wonderful soul
The healthy me that struts on your world
But you took away my sight God

That I might never see the ways of this world

But seek your light in all my days

You sent rains in the right season
That my gardens may bloom and blossom
But you took away my hand God

That I might never steal from the gardens yonder

But in need seek my neighbour’s help

When you gave me the kids dancing around me
Oh God wasn’t it so wonderful!
But you took away my life’s savings

That I might never look up to my bankers for cash

But learn to trust in your providence

I have had it all in life God,
I have enjoyed victories and withstood the losses

I’ve learnt with you am a greater hero
When I fight on my knees
And the victory is ever more glorious
When I approach the winner’s podium
Crawling on my belly
In the filth, gravels and in tears
That all glory may revert to you my maker
Amen.
