I'm reading a book with instructions on how to go and get her,
I find it more romantic writing a letter.
Like those ancient knights, those gentlemen,
Love was beautiful then.
Fools say just go and rush in,
You have to act before you're left behind.
I started rubbing my chin,
Being so rough wasn't kind.
I decided to hang around and wait,
That was the best thing to do.
It is possible that I could be late,
In winning her love so true.
It turned out just as I had planned,
We together like sardines when they're canned.
I'm glad I listened to the inner voice,
Now she's mine, my eternal choice.
