I have started my career as a content writer and now I am one of the top Android app maker in my Android app development company. Like many other Google play developers, I was not a computer graduate. I was a business graduate who was keen to make his career in the online marketing. However, after working with an Android app development company for a couple of years, I realized that I have developed an interest in Android phone app development.

May be it has to do a lot of my enthusiastic nature which keeps me on my toes when it comes to learning new things. However, I have learned a lot during my days at that job. I worked closely with a top Android app maker in the company. He taught me the basics of Android phone app development and I kept that process alive even after I left that company.

So, I was a marketing executive, who was supposed to write business proposals, sales emails, intriguing copy, and some kick-ass social media posts. I was satisfied as I was doing great, but as I learned more about the Android phone app development, I thought to give it a try. I was not hoping to switch my profession or becoming a top app Android app maker, I was just doing it for fun.

So, I started to learn the basics from my friend at the company and later on I joined an online course offered at Udemy. It cost me $119, but it gives a lot of material for my initial phase of learning. There were a lot of video tutorials with step by step guides to develop your first Android app.

I followed the course and at the end of it, I successfully developed an app that I could submit into the Google Play. It was not an ordinary achievement by any mean as submitting an app into the official Android store means that I could develop apps on my own.

So, I showed it to my friend and he was quite impressed with it. He suggested me to join his team as a junior Android app developer, to his amazement, I quickly said I would love to.

After a couple of official formalities, I joined his team as a junior Android app developer. I worked there for a couple months, before joining another Android app development company as a senior Android app maker.

It was not an easy transition by any means, but it was fun to learn a programming language. Learn to code is the finest thing which could happen to you, you should at least give it a try. There are a lot of online portals which can help you to learn to code. Web sites like Codecademy, Udemy, Treehouse, Udacity, and Khan Academy are helping students and young learners with minimal or no charges.
