Foot after foot, leg after leg, hip after hip, I wafted through Orleans. The air, rancid with putrid pastries and vulgarity being thrown across all corners of the city. One side of the street had broken detached houses lined up, separated by black razor fences with plants infecting the fences wholly. Some of the houses were raven black burnt, as if they were burned inside and out yet never collapsed. They fought to stay upright. The other side of the street only had a river separated from me by a rail. The dry river dark as the night but sparkling with distant rave lights that raged on the horizon.

Seconds pass. Minutes. Hours. I collapse. Struggling, reaching for the rail, grunting with every bone crunching to get upright, I grab the rail. I was still on the floor. But I had clung onto something for safety.

It was then my stomach screamed. I threw up. It was when I saw
