We are Ghost

Freshly beached survivor running through Berezino, a familiar sight. Going from door to door, looting everything that is left, dressed in jeans and white, black or red t-shirt. Checking the factory, police station, the two story house with a piano and continuing on to the hospital or heading towards North East Airfield, a barren place now after the outbreak, when the government tried to make it from military to civilian airport. But people still go there, just to see if anything has changed and then continue to Svetlojarsk and other towns in the North East.

I like the new people who come in, they all have the will to survive, hell, they wouldn’t have made it back to the shore otherwise.  I don’t really know what happens to them after they leave town, some become hunters and gatherers, living of the land, in peace. Some become merchants in the big cities, trading items for food and drink. Some will seek the thrill of honorable combat in the warzones in the North.

But most won´t make it to the first towns, they die from hunger, thirst, broken bones or bandits, ah, bandits, those who leave the town and then return with guns and ammo, or arrive from a different county, geared to the teeth with all the tools of a soldier, but a mind of a killer, cowards and murderers who prey on the weak, taking pleasure from torturing and killing others. But they won´t last in this town, not anymore.  Not since we arrived. Why I say this? Because we are Ghost, we were once like them, but now, we hunt them.
