Well, hey there world I’m sixteen now, nothing to be proud of I still look the same, baby faced and clumsy But to tell you the truth, honestly I feel like I’ve grown a bit When I was twelve I couldn’t wait to be a teen I’ve had thousands of crushes when I was thirteen When I was fourteen I struggled to fit in When I turned fifteen I thought I found love But now it’s just something I laugh about I was curious about the world as a child I laughed at adults who forced a smile Well, hey there world I’m the one who learnt all those lessons Who cried herself to sleep for stupid reasons? I know I haven’t found true love I don’t trust the guys girls are fondest of I got seventy reasons why I shouldn’t grow up Number one- I don’t want to I’m still a child dear world My life is now about to unfold So let me live, just a bit longer I’ll prove between myself and the critics Just who’s stronger
