A metaphor for the hopelessness and desperation I have felt.

Unending pain and fear

Heartbreaking sorrow

She tries to flee from.

Her blood covers the floor

From slashed and bruised arms.

She screams...

Waiting for life to end

Darkness...

From nothing,

A voice surrounds her

"Daughter, why kill yourself?

For I have died for you."

Silence...

Light comes in focus.

Now alert

Her blood has become Christ's

A lifeblood...

Peace falls,

She reaches out

And grasps his bloody hand.

As he takes her home,

Her pain is ending.

Free by His lifeblood.
