A darkened room

A lonely girl

A mirror

Looking at herself in disgust

Pointing out all the mistakes

Judging

Criticizing

Hating

every bit

Swings at the mirror

Shrieking, "why."

Shards of the mirror tumble to the ground

Realizing this animal she's become

Collapsing to the floor

In her hand, a piece of the shattered mirror

Squeezing the glass

Until she bleeds.

Using the blood as ink

She writes "why" on the bare floor made of concrete

Lays herself down in the middle of the room

Brings the one piece to her throat

Nobody knew

Nobody asked

"Why"
