A short observation on a commute at Manchester Victoria train station a few years ago. I liked how I was with such a diverse group of people, from different backgrounds, cultures, religions etc. yet we all had one common end of being on the same train.

Strangers waiting, patiently at the station,

Different faces,

Different gazes,

All strangers, all stationers.

Searching for differences,

Only finding common ground,

All strangers,

All stationers.

Platform nine and three,

This train ain't here for me.

Visits, business, runaways and general strays.

I wonder where they're going?

There is no way of knowing.

They remain strangers at a station.
