I awaken in a cold sweat, shaking and alone.
The room isdark and empty, mirroring whats left of our life together.
All I want to do is put my hand on your cheek and look into your eyes,
but that is not possible now...
Today, I am only half of what I could be…
I know this only because of what I was yesterday when I was with you.
The dead bottle of crown lying on the floor tells me why my head hurts,
but does nothing to explain the pain I feel in my heart.
I lie there just staring at the spinning walls,
Serving as reminders of the first kiss you ever gave me.
I was dizzy, light headed and queezy.
Dizzy light headed and queezy felt so good that January night.
I know this only because of how it felt when I was with you leaning up against that cold wall,
I am today only half of what I could be...
