Very thought provoking. Five seconds to say all you have to say. Excellent
Though this one did not work for me.
Visually the idea of the open and closed book is a good metaphor for birth-live-death, the paper has got an edge to it. The concept of the count down, but the lyrical content is missing ... soul.
I think the writing muse has moved on =(
Very intersting concept has a lot of potential, but something seems lacking. I liked it but it did not have your usual bite to it!
Thank you for commenting...
I think the words lack soul or a feeling of the end. It does not transfer a feeling when compared to say "Her Secret Book", "Milk Carton Portrait".
Makes me think. Keep the poetry thoughts flowing.
Thank you ... but not one of my best ... by a long shot.
Time becomes an abstract concept
when the end is near,
IF we know this "end" or death is waiting on the 5th second to usher us into another dimension...
I do not find your prose and words of the same standards I am used to,
Maybe you needed to let it simmer a bit more ...
like 5 seconds more :):)
Long time no hear... "where the bloodie hell are ya" =)
