Oh how I love the daisy.

So simple and so sweet
Just sitting there without a care
And peering up at me

Oh how I love each petal
Glistening with dew
Begging to be plucked
And tell us who loves who.

Oh how I love the daisy
It never makes me frown
And those who call it just a weed
Should get down on the ground

Take a look around you
Where ever there is grass
And see their pretty faces
Gazing up with mirth

Watch the children playing
Daisy chains abound
See the little caterpillars
Lying on the ground

Oh how I love the daisy
And hope you love it too
It’s a very special flower
And it’s calling out to you.
