A short story of nostalgia based around the inevitable twister of love & death

Our thoughts they muster in remedy

Longing for understanding, for longevity.

Only when the last voice is heard

Does your heart remember the lost lessons learned.

On this eve my cynical friend

Do you remember the confusing end.

If I could grant you one last wish

Look forward, not back and feel life's kiss.

Am I ready to move on from here

Escape or run, it doesn't matter you'll be near.

There's you in me and me in you

Together just a memory hung in broken tune.

Is real what I am feeling

A sense of guilt, of joy is ending.

You may forget the memories shared

Don't worry, do cry if it isn't fair.

Our decisions take us down paths found

How little do we know now.

If I am not what you wished

Promise me you will feel love, feel scared, feel life's kiss.

I don't exactly understand this poem but I gather that this is about a failed love affair. Am I wrong? Would you like to tell me more about it?

It's a halfway story of the understanding of death and love. Thanks for commenting though! :)
