This is my first attempt at poetry. Its about the stuggles that I have to face learning new things with a learning disability. It took me longer to read then everyone else that I know, and I need to write things down to understand it. This peom could really be about any stuggles that the reader is faceing with themself. Such as there insucurities or personality.

Its like a m o n s t e r
Lurking inside
Its like an eagle
Anger like a crashing tide.
Its what lurks behind
These tired eyes
Its like a monster
Hiding inside.

Its like an animal
A frightening pet
I'm like a hunter
Without a net
Like an actor
Without a set
Its like an animal
A horrible pet.

It may not work
It may be wrong
Just like lyrics
Without a song
Like the king
Without the Kong
It may not work
It may be wrong.

Now I must
Set aside
What lies beyond
These tired eyes
 Ditch the anger
The crashing tide
Find what lies behind
These brilliant e y e s.
