I jerked her away from my life

Like a snake from our leg

I felt her love after she left

As if effect of wine after drinking

All roads blocked, doors closed

Visualizing her nuptial bed

Tears rolling over the cheeks

A dam broken from flooded river

Ears hyperactive for her calls

Checking letterbox several times

Emails every now and then

Telephone for its dial tone

Lights switching off and on

A wave wishing to touch the bank

Irritating on everyone’s arguments

Searching ways to engage mind

Society won, helpless against destiny

Recalling our dreams and promises

Efforts for her happiness is over

Her memories acting like slow poison.
