A DARK WORLD

BY: JOYI UZIGAMI

Imagine a place where creatures

Roam free

A place where your heart

Escapes from your body like

Vapor from hot water

A place where the air has been

Polluted by death and decay

A place where the ground is

Covered with blood, friends,

Family, and even animals who

Have been slain for their sins

That they committed.

A place where you mistaken

Screams for thunderstorms

And blood has been mistaken for

Rain showers.

A place where the moon is full and

Red and the sun never shined again.

A place where the dead is no

Longer remembered and left to rot

Alone.

Satan may call it “paradise”

But I call it A DARK WORLD.
