the highways that wine wonder  over mountains and valleys, deserts and planes i guess i drove down most of them for the past twenty five years, now the cab of the truck has been my home,it would be kinda hard to just settle down,it aint enough for me to be on the dole,i remember the first truck i drove i was so proud i could hardly wait to get home,my little boy was so excited, like when he saw his first snow and he wer`nt quite old enough to say a few words so he just kept hollering giddyup go daddy, giddyup go.

so thats why i named the old truck giddyup go,ahh things was`nt to bad of course i was gone alot, after about six years i got home one evening and found my little wife and boy gone.i could`nt find out what happened nobody seemed to know,so from that day on it`s been me and giddyup go,i`ve made alot of friends in all the truck stops and some of them would kid me about my little sign of course they new where i got the name because i told about all of them i named it after a litlle boy of mine, and how his first words we`re about the truck he always said giddyup go.

today i was burning down old route 66 when up besides me pulled a brand new deisel rig both stacks blowing black as coal and as he pulled around back in front of me a big lump came into my throat and my eyes watereed like i had a cold a little sign on the back that read giddyup go,well i pushed old giddyup and stayed right on him untill the next truck stop where he pulled up,i waited till he went in and i offered to buy him a cupwell he got to talking and i said `how did you came about that name on the truck giddyup go` well he said i got it from my pa dad used to drive a truck that`s what mum talked about alot you see i lost my mum when i was just sixteen and i lost all track of my past mum said he got the name from me.

i shook his hand and told him that i had something i wanted him to see i took him out to the old truck and brushed off some of the dirt so the name would show, his eyes got big and bright as he read giddyup go,oh we had alot of things to talk about and buddy i felt like a king, now we just pulled on out back on old 66 he handled that rig better than any gear jammer i had ever seen, well now the lines on the highway just got a much brighter glow as we go roaring down the road with me staring at the sign that reads giddyup go.
