Shower

The water seems to run down my back
Ever so gentle, like tiny hands gliding down my wet slippery back
Those tiny hands never take away the shame
The mist forces me to close my eyes
The force of the shower head
The pivoting chrome rusting
The mold and its snail like texture
The dirt between the tiles
Stained, brown, like rust
oozing out of the corners where the roaches travel from
the water runs ever so fast down my chest
leaving a trail of clear illuminating water
water from above drips down
I drag my hands across my stomach
Hiding my shame
My fat
I shake it, I hit it
But it never goes away
I can never get clean enough for this
It never washed away the shame
