Wanted to take a slight twist on such a famous quote.

If life is like a box of chocolates, is empty loneliness utterly foreseeable? Sure the box could be left uneaten but it will certainly not perceive the embrace of human acts. Possibly the individual might devour the insides of the box, yet to leave nothing within; very much equivalent as humans are left unfilled inside by such things of love and warmth. Sure, the infamous mother of Forrest Gump never put her quote into such terms, yet why overlook the inevitable truth; if existence is comparable to a box of chocolates, we will unescapably be alone.
