Last night was f’n awesome. I went to the concert with my brother, Terry, and my sister, Cera. We waited in line for about an hour before we got to go in. After we turned in our tickets we went to the hand stamping station and who runs into my ass? None other then Philip Kross of Vampires Everywhere! I didnt mind and we headed into the upper area of the theater because the concert took place in this hot, dank little basement. My brother, being the sweetheart that he is bought me a shirt before the concert started and we went down stairs to  get in place before Dr. Acula went on.
Dr. Acula started and my sister asked who they were and when I bent down to tell her, her head when right into my mouth causing it to bleed. A mosh pit started directly behind us but we didn’t notice ‘til then. Terry saw what happened and the guys in the mosh tried to get Terry to participate but he was so pissed off about us getting hurt that every time they came near us he was shoving them away. He punched four different guys during their set before we moved over to the other side of the basement. After the set we headed upstairs to cool down.
When we went back down stairs Get Scared was setting up for their set. We reclaimed our spot by the bands gear and waited for them to get started. Nicolas and Lloyd walked right past us and went to the stage. We knew then that we picked the ‘spot’. The band got started and while my sister and I were jamming to the music I saw a half neked dude out of the corner of my eye who turned out to be David Darko of Vampires Everywhere. Cera thinks he’s hot. We spent the rest of the set alternating between looking at David and the stage. Since I didn’t see Johnny B of Get Scared before they started I pointed him out when he grabbed the beam above his head and pulled himself up. Again after the set we headed upstairs afterwards and Cera started to notice a shirtless dude staring at her.
We got some waters and went back to our spot before Vampires Everywhere were to start their set. Aaron, David,  and Philip walked by us constantly to get their gear and Terry and Cera kept trying to get me to talk to them. The guys were busy and didn’t want to bug them since they were so focused looking for their stuff. Michael Vampire headed towards the stage and for some odd reason looked right at me and went on stage. Terry got kinda mad when they did their cover of Teenage Dream but Cera and I were to busy having fun to notice. To me the set seemed shorted than the sets Get Scared and Dr. Acula did but when your having fun time flies I guess. They set finished and the guys started to walk past us again as they put their gear away. Unable to stand the heat again we went upstairs. For a while Philip was working the merch table. I asked him if he was actually selling the stuff and he said he was but I’d have to bear with him since he normally doesn’t deal with the money. I pointed out the shirt I wanted and he said ‘That’s the best shirt’. He asked the size and started to hunt for my small t-shirt saying that they should label them to which I replied ‘like in wal-mart?’ He laughed and finally found a small for me. I handed him the $20 I had on me and he started to brag to the Get Scared and Dr. Acula merch people that he got a 20 and went to get my change. The Dr. Acula merch girl decided to say I gave him a $100 and Philip fell for it, because he checked the bill. “Don’t do that to me, dude.” That guy’s cool, has a sense of humor where he can laugh at himself.
Eyes Set To Kill impressed Terry when we went back to our spot. Alexia is so little but she has a BIG voice. I must admit we didn’t catch the whole set because the basement was so frickin hot we kinda hung out upstairs longer than we should have. But what we did see made me and even bigger fan of theirs than I was before.
Aiden was the headliner and and again we didn’t catch the entire set. I was too busy trying to get a pic with David but he lived up to his bands name. He must have been made of vapor because every time I tried he disappeared and I had to find him again just to loose sight of him again. Very frustrating. We went back down stairs and watched the last part of Aiden’s set. Terry was kinda bummed because we thought that they’d play their cover of “Cry Little Sister” but they didn’t. After they let out we waited upstairs again but this time for our dad and little sister to pick us up.
I followed Aaron and Philip of Vampire Everywhere! Down to the basement and asked them for a pic which they were nice enough to pose with me for. Really nice guys, shook both of their hands after we introduced ourselves. AWESOME f’n night. I loved all the bands and most importantly I loved that two of my siblings hung out with me there even though it wasn’t really the music they listen to.
