It was October 69’; deep in the jungle of Nam…I was volunteer to recon unit,
The toughest guy in the army…search and destroy missions, we spent most
Of the time living and fighting like rats in their nest…we were the best, fear,
We didn’t know the meaning of the word, death, was just another joke from
The wild bunch…we were trained to eat snakes, frogs, lizards, even leeches
Without any hesitation…yes, we were those macho men savage, beast,
Always looking for trouble and for a good damn fight…we were the best,
The fearless, one day on a regular patrol through the jungle, I spotted
This little boy, 10 or 12 years old…I stood right there, not knowing what to
Do, the men behind me wondering what the situation on the front was,
This fearless, trained soldier had no other solution but to scream from the
Top of my lungs…RUN FOR YOUR LIFE, he’s got a bazooka…surprise, surprise,
Today is the last day of the year, tomorrow will be the first day of a new year.
I don’t like country music, but I do like rock&roll. My coffee is real hot, I hate
Ice cream in winter. Football, who cares, baseball, the name of the game.
Should I have a hair cut? How about my goatee, anyway I have none. I read
A book called “A Hundred Years of Solitude”, and I like the movie, “Wild Bunch”.
The stars shines at night, the clouds never surrender. The sea always back and
Forth, crabs one way. Rain is crystal clear; mirrors are missing from my view.
HOW CAN I BE SURE?
