You were thinking
I was drinking
Maybe we should go downtown
Ice cream in the park, we used to meet there after dark
Will we always be young and unafraid?
Your lips like wine your hips touching mine
As we laid by the green river's side
The canopy of trees, the warm summer breeze
Tell me my love, you'll always be mine
Nothing has changed between you and I
The years they have gone but it's still you and I
We will grow old together you'll see
And I'll always drink in the warmth of your skin
As we lie by the green river's side.
