A A A

A A A

Exposed.

The bright lights shine directly in my face

As I squint my eyes and scrunch my nose.

The censor is off, no protection here.

The armor is gone the shield is down.

Wide open.

Exposed.

Free shots,

Offered, but none taken.

Vulnerable,

Wide open.

Take a shot.

Just one.

The anticipation stings,

Not knowing

Never knowing,

Not wanting

To know.

The naked feeling

Of being alive,

Of being out there.

Insane,

Emotionless,

Painless,

Nothing.

But exposed.
