I look up and see the giant rain drops coming down at me,

As I can feel them moisten my eyes.

To the right of me I hear the cricket of a lonely grasshopper.

To the left, a stray cat walking on its own.

I look down and see an unaccompanied ant walking dazed through the cold dampened dirt.

I look up once again and see a solitary star, twinkling in the pitch black of the night.

I know there is one thing I have in common with all of them,

I am too, alone.

My tears start to blend with the water droplets slithering down my face.

I try to use my lonesomeness to my advantage.

I hold my head high,

And tell myself I do not need anyone else to count on, to make me strong.

I am not weak,

And can make my way through life solely and unequaled.
