The sweat was trickling down the palm of her hand as she held the trigger clamped in her grasp.  She could feel the death beat of the tremulous drumming of her heartbeat against her temples.  Trying to restrain her finger from pulling back tight and feeling the numb burn, she stammered beyond her confidence.  Just a minute ago she was self-assured that she longed the endless silence.  Anxiously she turned the point away from her head and bravely pulled her finger towards herself. “Boom!” There struck an unearthly sharp crack.  She winced and opened her eyes staring at the chaos the bullet had painted against the wall.  The agitating ringing in her ears had made her reconsider her decision.
