Father said to me one day,

“Open your heart that once turned gray.

I’ve got better plans for you, you know,

Plans that will keep you from your thousand sorrows.”

I kept my eyes open and so I said,

“I am but weak; I have gone and fled,

I have just wreaked havoc within myself,

Now what am I, but an empty shelf?”

Casting out all fear, Jesus came to wipe my tears

I’ve drawn out my regrets, hoping that I could get some rest

But he opened up my eyes,

Now all I see is His wonderful art.

Father said to me one day,

“You are my child, no one can say

How deep my love is for you, my dear

Now go on and let the lights appear.”

I threw up my arms and so I cried,

“Father, oh God, you are glorified,

Use me; mold me, as you want me to be

I’ll be your servant, here I am send me.”
