Waiting to be with my love again, learning all about him through the only means allowed us now. Seeing new nuances about us both that seem to draw us even closer than before.

100 Days til You

I wander along blindly nudging each day forward

My secret self whispering to me in broad daylight

of your delicate tender ways to love my body

of your beautiful chiseled face relaxed in sleep

of your voice rumbling across my senses

I fight to concentrate as we speak

As you explain and I appear to listen

to our very adult very urbane conversation

only in public places, where i cannot touch you

carefully placing the words so no one can say

otherwise about us

I long for you particularly in these cold nights

as you remain ensconsced in your vows and promises

your absence from me breaks me down a bit

but i know not what else to do

but wait here, right here

for you

as there will come a time

when this ache is a memory

and you can kiss me and hold my hand

touch my legs and give me that look

and no one will care

about how much you care

for the one who waited a century of days

to be with you

(Love always, d and c)
