The Life Of A Dollar

Oh, the places I’ve been. You wouldn’t believe the things I’ve been through. I’ve been packed and pasted. Folded and crumbled. Ripped and colored. I might look like an old timer to you, but I never die. I’m always useful. Even when I’m bent to no repair, you need me. I’ve been all over the world and been used to get everything. Water and food. Gifts and cards. Ice cream and cake. Phones and computers. Everyone needs me. Even you, the all mighty giant, need me. You fold me in half and tuck me away. You take me to the land of the giants and use me, like so many others, to buy a cookie at a small shop. They shove me into a dark hole in a box. They take me and all my new friends like me to be put into a larger box and I’m traveling once more. I live this way. For I will never die. You would think this life is hard and sad, but you wouldn’t know the life of one such as me. Wouldn’t you love to always be needed. To be liked. To have every one that looked at you smile when they see you. I’m needed. I’m loved. My life is long and worth wild. Oh, The places I’ve been.
