For about two years, I went through a really hard time. To vent, I wrote poems. But I don't want to think of my writing as a story just about me. I bet there's a lot of people out there that can relate to these feelings, and I hope that the happy ending can help them be stronger.

How It Used to Be

Isolation,
Separation,
Alienation,
Keeping me from the people I care about.

Loneliness,
Sadness,
Wretchedness,
Making me do things I'd never thought I would do.

Caged,
Enraged,
Paige,
A big factor of my downfall.

People
That make me feel feeble.
People
That caused me horrible
Pain
That made me insane.

Remembering,
Commemorating,
The days
That were once vivid,
But are now a haze.

A million faces,
All from the same place.
A million cries,
That were mine to disguise.

Loss
Of a cause.
Unaware
Of the care
That could have kept all of this from happening.

Weak,
Meek,
A freak,
That's what I was.

Strong,
A chance to belong,
A life prolonged,
That's what I deserve –
What everyone deserves.
