I wrote this about a couple of years ago. I was inspired by my speech class, at the end of the semester everyone had to go up and talk about themselves and say whatever we wanted. Quite a few people shared some amazingly tragic stories and it touched me deeply, it made me sad and mad at how the world can be, and thats what this poem is about.

The world only shattered in one

No seperate pieces, no parts a side, nothing undone

A girl raped and murdered left naked for dead on the street

Who's to know if anyone began to see

Your own mother never accepting you for you only what she thinks you should be

Believing we're in our mental prison never being able to be freed

A lot of people in this world with their enormous blindness, lies, and violent evilness with such horrid greed

"Love isn't suppose to hurt", that statement is just a contradiction to me.
