What of Winter?  By: J. L. Moreaux

What is winter
That unveiled?
The snowy plunders?
The warmth had failed.

Cold that burns.
Heat that scolds us.
Which one is that of thus?

Amid the bleak dreary winter
We have to stay clothed.
Though snowballs, and fury
Are justly loathed.

Feel the sun passing
As the rainclouds sway.
The warmth will come again
Bring us outside, in vain.
