This is a poem about anorexics. It's about how some people need a little love, so that they can understand that everyone is beautiful, in their own way. YOU ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL!

I was always too big

Never just right

I didn't have the look

I wanted to lose my sight

Watching all my friends

Skinny andpretty

Boys always liked them

I felt like such a pity

I started eating less

I wanted to work out

People told me I wasn't fat

But I was full of doubt

Every night I prayed to god

Please make me thin

One night I got a response

A thought, right from Him

He told me that this

Was the way he made me

If I was ashamed of myself

I was ashamed of He

He whispered that he loved me

Right into my ear

He showed me what anorexics look like

He made it all clear

So the next morning I stepped outside

To greet my friends and foe

For I felt great, inside and out

I will never stoop so low

And when I walked into my room

I knelt on my knees to pray

I said something different

Not the same as what I usually say

"Dear Lord, I want to thank you

You got me back on track

You showed me that I was beautiful

So I thank you, for that

You showed me people were all different

Came in different shapes and sizes

So I will have a smile on my face

When the sun arises"

-Amen
