Chapter 1

Zroa stood at the end of the table with the lights out in the meeting room. He did not feel the urge to speak to people, especially those at the table while gathered to meet and talk about raiding some science towers.

“These are what we are after,” said Zroa, pointing to the holographic projection displaying towers with the burst of light. “The one in charge of the so-called Brave New World wants to use science to create humanity when we can use it to create people like ourselves.” After a minute of silence, he took a deep breath. He was

stressed about getting his message across and making sure the people in the room understood what he was saying. “Any questions?”

“Yeah,” said the Dollboy, a robot doll sitting at the table, “are you sure the people at the towers are not retarded?” Everyone in the room laughed.

Zroa took a sigh of relief. He was not in the mood for smart comments.

“You know,” said Ganon, a man wearing a Saudi Arabian hat, “you should just let us create the humanity instead of them.” He laughed. "We could do a better job at that."

“Not funny,” Zroa said to him. That is it, he thought. “Meeting adjourned,” he said, aggravated, “just meet here this afternoon 1400 hours.”

“What time?” asked the Fire Ghost. Zroa ignored it. “Alright man. Whatever you say.”

He was glad to see everyone leaving the room. He thought, I know why I am about to be harsh on them. He pressed the button on the table to turn off the holographic projection.

“Why are you so upset?” asked a voice. Zroa looked to see Tele Path, a creature whose body was made of a shadowy silhouette and glass.

“I have recruits who want to give me a hard time,” he answered with a sigh.

“You will figure it out after awhile. Trust me on that.”

"Well, it is not going to be that easy."

“Don’t worry,” said Tele Path, “Just remember that the scientists at these towers want to create people by the use of these castes. Well, that is the whole purpose of the so-called Brave New World.

Chapter 2

Dirk and D’Lous each came from a different reality. They were called some time ago to work together and help other realities. This time someone from the reality called them asked for help. They stepped through a slice in the air, creating a portal.

Dirk was a regular human in charge of a crowd stationed within a gateway between realities. He could not wait to enter the reality he was stepping into after spending so much time on the gateway.

“Welcome,” he noticed a young man running in front of them and then offering to shake their hands with such excitement. “I’m Chris and I was told to meet you guys. We’re protecting some castes as you have heard. I heard about some of our enemies starting a team to take down these towers and …”

Dirk noticed a man whom he remembered seeing on the view screen walking behind Chris and putting a hand on his shoulder. He shook Chris’ hand and heard the man behind Chris say, “Welcome.” Dirk noticed him nodding to Chris, who left right then. As Dirk thought for a minute, he remembered the man introducing himself as the Director. He did not remember the man saying his real name and he did not care what his real name was.

“Don’t mind him,” Captain Marx, “he is supposed to be at the Gamma tower at this moment. I do not know who told him to meet you guys here.” He pointed the way. “Come.”

“I’m not sure if we should do this,” D’Lous whispered at Dirk. Dirk sighed since he could not stand listening to her talk about what was at the tower where the loop hole took them. This was not going to be the first time he had to listen to D’Lous.

D'Lous was small since she resembled a toy.

He turned to look at her. “Just come on. We are here to find out more. Are we not?” He had her on his shoulder.

Chris took a sip of his canned drink in his hand as he walked down the hallway of the tower he knew to be the Gamma tower, the science tower holding the castes that are relatively short, narrow-shouldered, and, in comparison to Alphas and Betas, gangling

.

Now I know why I usually don’t talk to people, he thought. He felt embarrassed about what happened when he spoke to the two people stepping through the loophole. He knew he was supposed to watch the castes until he had heard someone tell him he could leave, which was a voice inside his head. He could not believe he actually fell for it. This was not the first time he was very gullible.

He continued walking as he was about to turn a corner when he noticed some people he remembered as some old nemeses and stepped back. He stood against the wall and breathed. It can’t be who I think it is. He looked around the corner again. As he thought for a minute, he knew they were the people who told him they would take care of it.

As he noticed the Dollboy and Mr. Comet, he thought, Oh, no.

“What do you think you’re doing?” came a voice. Chris noticed the voice to be that of the Fire Ghost whom he did not want to deal with. He rolled his eyes because he did not want to deal with any of his nemeses at this time.

While in the form of a fox, John ran down the hallway of Epsilon tower, the tower he knew to be holding the castes that were mostly black, ugly, and monkey-like creatures that were often handicapped. He wanted to know about whatever intruder may have entered the tower to set off the alarm.

This is just great, he thought. He knew he was going to have company, but he did not want to deal with it at the moment while he was at a science tower.

“Chalfes,” he said to the entity within his form, “can you scan the nearby rooms for me, please?”

Scanners on, said the entity. After a minute, the entity said, two shifted figures in the nearby rooms.

John was part of a secret organization using means of magic to transform members into animals or make the members immaterial. Chalfes was the name of the entity within the form he took. The only thing John did with him was ask for information and ask for a favor. It was like a computer inside of robotic armor.

Just like me, he thought. They must know I am here.He entered the room and saw a gorilla and a snake having the castes walk in a line to a slice in the air.

“Chalfes,” John said to the entity in his form, “can you get me in contact with those two figures, please?”

After a minute, John said to the two animals in the room, Alright, stop what you are doing.

Why? came a girly voice. John knew it came from the snake that blew gas at him.

“Chalfes,” John said, noticing the gas disappearing.

Are you alright, sir? Asked the entity.

“Yes!” John answered. “Where are the castes?”

I believe they were already taken.

Oh, great. My day could not get any better than this.

In his uniform resembling a wax figure, Starmen was the superhero named Fake. He did not need superpowers like superheroes in comic books had. He just needed skills and knowledge.

He pulled himself up as he had just climbed to the top of Delta tower, the tower holding the castes that were relatively short (nearly dwarfs), often semi-handicapped people. I knew I was not going to like this, he thought, feeling tired. He stretched out for a minute and moved forward after feeling someone pushing him from behind. At quick speed, he turned and got to his feet. He saw Ganon, whom he knew to be the Saudi Arabian and one of his usual enemies.

“I should not have to go through, should I?” he asked. This was not the first time in his life he had to deal with him.

“Oh, yes,” said Ganon. “Oh, yes. Are you ready?”

Starmen swung his fist in the direction of his face as he noticed it grab.

“Nice try,” said Ganon. Starmen noticed himself flying toward a dumpster.

Tele Path was very impressed with his gang at the towers. He knew he would have what he sent his gang for.

Well done, he thought as he looked on the view screen while Zroa stood right behind him in the meeting room. As he turned to look at him, he said, “I knew they were going to do alright. That is why I assigned them to the specific towers.”

“At least they entered without a problem,” said Zroa. “My problem with them was I was not going to be able to get my message clear to them and they did not want to respect me, which is why I did not feel like leading.”

“Do not worry about that,” said Tele Path. “They have a good chance of knowing what they are doing at the places where I sent them. It should make it easier.”

Tele Path divided up the group by members whose main enemy they have in common. He sent each one to a specific tower.

Chapter 3

Chris felt pushed as he entered the room. I knew I should not have listened to a voice inside of my head.

“Look what I found!” said the Fire Ghost.

“Seriously,” Chris breathed. “You should not even be here. You do not know what they are for or even what these things really are.”

As he noticed the two people, Dollboy and Mr. Comet, laughing, he thought, you guys think you are so funny. He pictured a character he knew to be named Triton as he transformed into a creature with fish scales and finned hands and feet. As he stood to his feet he summoned, water splashing on everyone inside the room. He told them, “That was a warning, if you don’t leave, then I will do something else to you.”

After a minute, he heard Mr. Comet say, “Is that all you got to do?” Chris looked at the Fire Ghost who did not look pleased and nodded to Mr. Comet. Chris knew the situation was going to get worse.

Chris ran around the corner and saw none of the castes he was supposed to look out for. Uh, oh, he thought. He ran back out the way he came to see all three of the enemies had left. Running up to the window, he saw a hover copter moving away from the tower.

Too late, he thought. Too late. The captain is really going to kill me for this.

chapter 4

John was not happy to meet with Captain Marx just as he entered the office.

“Take a seat,” Captain Marx told him. John did not want to hear what he had to say. “Do you know what a failure this is? You guys not staying at your stations? ”

John nodded. “I stayed at mine."

Captain Marx nodded. “Okay then?”

“This was not my idea in the first place, to stay and watch these creations, when they are just a waste of time and science. Also, I do not know why we have to watch out for scientists using science to create life. What is the deal?”

After a minute of silence, the captain nodded and said, “I understand what you are telling me. However, you and the rest of the team failed to protect the castes as you were told to do, which is really my point. It was not my idea to help protect these things either, but we do not want this to fall into the wrong hands. Do you see what I am telling you?”

John nodded his head.

“Good,” Captain Marx said. “As you exit, could you please tell Christopher I wish to speak with him?

John nodded his head again as he exited the room.

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Chris was panicking as he was making clicking noises.

“Could you please stop making that noise?” said Starmen.

“Dude,” Chris said, worrying, “I am so, so sorry for what I did when I walked up to talk to you and that lady with you. It was not my fault this happened. Someone told me they would be alright.”

“I’m right here you know,” said D’Lous. Chris looked to acknowledge her.

D’Lous put her hand on his shoulder, “You should have thought about what would have been more important. What do you think would have been more important: the castes or your friends? Most of all, whose fault was it? Are you sure it was not yours?”

Chris thought for a minute. “Probably the castes. I thought they would be okay but…”

D’Lous nodded.

“You needed to take the blame as well. Do not try to come up with excuses,” said Starmen.

The door opened revealing John who pointed to Chris and said, “The captain wants to see you.”

Chris took a sigh of relief. It was not my fault, he thought, standing there.

“Chris,” he heard the captain’s voice. He started walking into the room.

“Good luck,” said Starmen.

Chapter 5

The Electrial, a hollow man who looked to be made of glass with an electrical aura, was happy to have a creature to get information from.

“I would like some information about someone,” the Electrical walked around the seat with the frightened caste with relatively short, narrow-shoulders located in a private room.

“That’s enough!” came a voice from behind him. The Electrical turned to notice Tele Path entering followed by Zroa. He was not very pleased to have Tele Path walk in while he was doing something, especially when he wanted information from a caste who had what he wanted

“I’m surprised you did not go with the others,” said Tele Path.

“To do what?” asked the Electrical, “Oh, yeah, the castes. I remember now. I wanted the opportunity to get information in order to get to someone.”

“You could have done it by going with the others,” said Zroa, “but what did you do instead?”

Stepping beside the frightened Gamma caste, the Electrical thought for a moment about the towers holding the castes. Maybe they have a point, he thought.

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Chris sat in the chair in front of Captain Marx.

“Chris,” the captain said, “I am going to have to suspend you until further notice. Do you know why?”
Chris looked down and nodded while he felt bad. He did not feel good about what he did and felt he received what he deserved. He stood up from his seat and exited the office entering the hallway.

What am I going to do now? He thought. He saw nothing to do in life in the nearby future.

In an instant, he felt a shock at his back and fell forward.

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

The Electrical stood at the head of the boy lying face forward. He had two cavemen-like foot soldiers standing on both sides of Chris.

“I should have done something like this earlier,” he whispered.

“Why?” said one of the footsoldiers with him, “so you can get at the captain?”

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Captain Marx walked into the meeting room followed by the team. “Take a seat everyone,” he told them, “we will begin in a few minutes.” He walked to the bar to put on a cup of coffee and then walked over to his seat at the end of the table.

“I hated to do this,” Captain Marx said as he started the meeting, “but I had to let go of Chris after what happened at the towers.” He took a sip of his coffee. “I right now hope the castes will be alright.”

“What we need now is a lead,” said John.

“That’s exactly what we need,” said Starmen, sarcastically.

As he noticed a secretary slowly entering the meeting room, the captain saw her motion for him to come here.
