It was so sudden, her last words were mundane and habitual,
my last words were hurried and callous, like always,
i returned home to find her still and cold,
and this moment of realisation i will never forget,
now i have time to do as i please, without agitation,
but it is not the way i wanted it,
she could have told me, if she felt her last breaths,
i am not an easy person, more selfish than sensitive,
but i understand her if i peer into her mind,
how could she have told me, those were going to be her last
words.
