It was so sudden, her last words were mundane and habitual,
my last words were hurried and callous, like always, 
i returned home to find her still and cold, 
and this moment of realisation i will never forget, 
now i have time to do as i please, without agitation, 
but it is not the way i wanted it, 
she could have told me, if she felt her last breaths, 
i am not an easy person, more selfish than sensitive,
but i understand her if i peer into her mind,
how could she have told me, those were going to be her last 
words.
