Vigilante

I wrote this poem in a flash
before my skull was brutally bashed

it received publication
as necessary vindication

I was writing about a murder spree
that took place between 5 am and three

detectives searched long and hard
only to find a single card

and all that card did say was:
"Another life will end today"

they began to look for a killer
they could not see nor find

because the killer was me
and my actions were remarkably kind.
