From your balcony
we watched the passerbys

You had it in your head that I was a book you had already read

My heart ached
miles of fights
I had truly tried
A free agent's plight

So we sat
and you
played guitar

and I wrote
of tragedies
to the stars

And the feeling was other worldy
As time passed I stop hurting

those moments when it was like we were floating in the sky and the ocean
was never our purpose to go deeper than the surface

My head breaks
It was my mistake for not listening to

He wants be free of responsibility
Of obligation
the dating scene

I'd scream obscenities
It's not registering

You Answered my rings
Laughing about silly things
Causing confusion to my illusion that you were more than just using me
more time passed by my cries became sighs

So we watched passerbys

the lies revealed themselves
I haven't slept with anyone else
Be grateful for that

Youve gotten so attached

I sang a llauby
Striving to deny that
I had been denied

So we watch the passerbys

It was not all a lie
I wouldn't be here

Shedding tears
Wanting you near
Full of fear

A shame
to be in that frame
of mind

My days grew stronger
My nights longer

wondering what was wrong with me came
the True clarity of our complicated being

Gravity framed me
freedom obtained me
Hope gained me

for the last time
we watched the passerbys
