A thousand sodden pedals dipositioned on the mosaic, tears gliding down her tanned, uneven mascara face. The ache in the pit of her stomach worried her. She could only remember tonight -what had happened, it kept running through her head. The thought of his back walking away was sending chills down her spine.

The white-laced evening gown flattened around her. The glass of red thick wine tipped to the ground and poured into a puddle, her hand swathed around the stem. The reflection in the wine was dull, her crystal blue eyes shined. Lying beside the window, the grey drapes- that matched the white brick walls-blew. The room is empty, hollow, quiet. A sudden bell of sirens wailed through the city, slamming on car doors, and the odd voice of a man. A knock at the door, then a burst of a foot kicked the door as it swung open with a bang. Footsteps became louder and louder. Her pensive face stared at the empty rose, her skin flush. The strength of someone lifted her up and a quite whisper cried "I love you", wet warm tears dripped to her chest, there was no response, and not even a heart beat.
