Why do you act the way you do?
Why do you talk the way you do?
Why do you dress the way you do?
Why are you you?
These are questionsI hear daily
From family and friends
Im tired of it Im taking a stand
Im not going to be depressed anymore
Im not going to be
What you want me to be
I WILL be me
In every wayI know to be
You should love me for me
You shouldnt dress like that.
You need to loose weight, your fat.
You arent white, act the way your suposed to act.
You shouldnt listen to that devil crap.
These statements I hear in school
The kids that say them take me as a fool
What makes youthinkI need your advise
I do whatI do and dont think twice
You have no right to judge
Im my own judge and Ive come to a verdict
Im going to be happy
Im going to be me
In every way I know to be
And you should just love me for me.
