Today, I feel like I’m stuck in a never ending struggles that consumes me

It’s as if my problems are illuminating all around and within me

What else can I do to make it all go silent?

Hopelessly frowning what’s the point of living?

I can feel my body quivering softly sobbing

Yet, there’s a voice whispering quietly to me, him saying “You look so much better when you smile”

Oddly I’m amused and I have nothing else to lose so why not?

As I start to smile He, the voice whispers again “Here is another chance. You’re not alone”

Standing up I begin to feel this knot within my chest loosening.

Closing my eyes I begging forgetting all the struggles that were trying to enable me.

Louder He says “Just trust in me, let your hope arise and walk by faith and you’ll see.”

As tears start to fall again I ask “How can someone love a broken person like me?”

He begins to say “Because that's not what you look like to me. Now don’t give up smile and believe!”

Hearing another voice; it wasn’t as loving and as warm as the first.

“Why smile? He promised you beautiful days and all you got were clouds! Not even a single ray of sunshine!”

My smile begins to fade and I don’t want believe it, cant! “Shut up! Leave me alone! Go!”

Falling on my knees with my hands on my head I’m now so conflicted with contradicting thoughts.

I hear Him say in His loving voice “I sure would hate to see you give up because just imagine when all this pain is over.”

With my eyes close its as if He‘s kneeling beside me telling me.

“Just remember to smile and keep your joy. No one can take that away from you.”

I start sobbing again and say to Him “Can you just stay with me forever? I need someone like you with me.”

He chuckled softly and said “I’ve always been with you, you were just to busy focusing on your problems to realize I was here.”

And so now I remember to smile; no matter what pain is coming my way. I will smile.
