As this candle burns, so does his eyes. The realisation that i may never come across such beauty brought me to tears. That sidewalk was all we had. Separated by roads which cars caress, where chewing gum takes the form of gravel, he stands there before me across this river of thespians. He does not realise how my eyes are glued to his.

The light turns green, as my heart starts to beat to the rhythm of bells, vibrating as i take that first step closer to a man i have never met. Just by looking at him, in his dirty brown leather jacket, i create his personality with imagination.

He does not stare, nor glance at me. I am suddenly aware i am not dressed for this moment of fate. My eyeliner is smudged and my lips are cracked. My jeans are ripped and unprepared for this moment of 'just in case'.

At a rulers length from this god like creature, we make eye contact, just for a second. he loses his gaze and turns back to his destination. As we passed each other i turn to face his back, with his hands in his pocket. Im reluctant to turn to mine, knowing this may be the last moment, a moment that should be recorded, of a love lost in time.

As I said good bye to my love with a silent smile, I went on my way, hoping that one day, just maybe.. we will cross paths again.
