Something I wrote about soldiers. I got the inspiration to write it after my cousin left for Iraq
I am not that great at rhyming, so please forgive me if this is not that great.

Can’t you see the blood sacrificed for you

Head shots, bodies drop, not much you can do

Muzzle flashes left and right

Sneak attacks in dead of night

Do not drop your guard for one second

Death’s gun loaded with its injection

On the frontline, they stand above the rest

Kill the opposes that put weak to the test

Halls of fame, Walls of shame

It takes too much too much to smother the flame

Guarding honor with their own lives

Tension stabbing their backs like f**king knives

Give them respect and don’t forget

How heavy the burdens can get

In darkness shining like a light

Lives in danger give them power to fight

Marching as more bodies hit the floor

These are the soldiers of war.
