The Bubbles We All Live In

When I was given a task to observe my world, I started immediately. It didn’t take me long time to notice and realize that my universe isn’t the only one around me. I was surrounded by many other worlds, which I wasn’t part of.

Out of the blue, I felt like swimming in the sea of hopes and griefs, truths and deceits, loneliness and love, in the ocean of victors and losers, friends and enemies, culprits and victims… Suddenly, my world seemed so small and unpredictable like it was a bouncing ball. This was the moment when I began to perceive world as a ball pool, where each of us has his own tiny bubble to live in.

The bubbles might look like teeny tiny plastic balls, but they are a huge gift. They are safe and private, and it is up to us how we make them or whom we let in.

Unfortunately, there are some exceptions, especially, with the bubble company. In some cases, we are forced to accept our bubble sharers. I mean people we can’t choose voluntarily. Who they are, may you ask. The closest from the close - our families, classmates, teachers, colleagues, bosses, neighbours…

After this analysis, I completely lost myself on my quest for truth. It appears that the only ones we can decide on are our friends and lovers. Or aren’t they? Why have we picked these special people we all adore until the very end? What is the reason WHY?

I will probably never find an answer to my question, but it brings me to another idea. We don’t use the bubbles just for living, but also for protecting ourselves. Most people don’t like taking a risk, they love to feel secure. As a consequence, the best means of protection is to stay alone in your VIP world. That’s why we all are allowed to own just one single bubble, and that is the reason why there are so many balls in the ball pool.
