I sat with a glow in a room of life,

And searched for what I created,

I opened my thoughts of pain and strife,

And struggled for how long I waited.

I wondered around in a padlocked place,

In need of revealing my past,

Love, commitment, what should have been grace,

These words I always put last.

The truth of the future I’ve always found hard,

Yet slowly I’m coming to terms,

The wisdom and hope displayed in the cards,

Has left me with no more concerns.

And though I have not understood all this,

Disguised with a laugh or a wail,

I know that when my life is bliss,

I’ll need to tell you the tale.
