Out of the darkness we are born,
To live in the shadows of our Ancestors,
-Left only to die in the light,
May the Gods always bless us,
Where we wait,
To be reborn again another night.
Open or closed eyes,
I can see you so very clearly,
You have not a clue,
That I love you Oh so dearly.
for the writers block,
Nor watch the clock,
Don't fight it,
Paint a pretty thing,
Colour the stars,
With all that you are,
Set your mind free,
Can bring you a peace,
-At least you tried,
Does not matter,
If paint should splatter,
Words should fail,
How you pale,
Close your eyes and think,
See the vision before you blink.
Write it down,
By an emotion.
Whatever happened to the world,
Where emotional feeling became a sin to express,
Are we not human after all,
Perhaps emotion is just another annoying test,
Men are afraid to cry,
Women want to be strong,
We all want greener grasses,
We all try to belong,
Whatever happened to the love,
And neighbour conversations exchanged,
Now we don't know who they are,
We might think they're a little bit strange,
Whatever happened to the idea of world peace?
Where someday we might all be war-free,
At what point did we lose our belief,
Have we given up so easily?
So many things I wonder to myself,
Saddened by the state of things,
We humans have so far to go,
And be grateful for what life brings.
