My hand listens at your ear,
There is the ocean,
Waving and sighing against my hand,
And you are listening
To the rhythm,
Rhythm of my heart through my palm.

A rose lies on the bed,
A kiss lingers on my cheek, a bleeding
Kiss full of goodbyes. It is all
Waves and waves of goodbyes.
They beat and break against
My palm, and
My palm replies

Du dum du dum.

It took years to clear the
Tide away from my eyes,
To see you staring and asking, why are there roses in the air?

Why are there roses on your hair, your eyes,
Your lips are roses.
You kissed,
They cutbut

There was a new wave,
And I held a hand to your ear, the moon
Smiled and the roses

Disappeared.
