do you ever wonder

what could have been?

what could have birthed

from the mess that we’re in?

oh, i’m sorry;

it’s ‘i’m,’ not ‘we’re,’

since you pushed me away

in your righteous fear.

i shouldn’t blame you

for something i did

or didn’t, i don’t know;

i’m just a kid.

so smile at me again,

just wave and pretend,

that i am not hurting,

that we’ve passed the end.

and maybe you have

but i am still stuck

looking your way,

you son of a fuck.

i want to hate you so badly,

but it’s just to so hard to see

who’s fault this is…

just to admit that it’s me.
