tick tock i hear

throughout my head

but there is not clock

above my bed.

the ringing, the ringing,

round and round,

but where is the source

of that painful sound?

it used to be bearable,

i used to be Sane,

but now all i know

it is scratching my name.

day after day

sound after sound

turning my head

spinning around.

where did it go?

what is it saying?

this is more than

just a sick game you’re playing.

what will happen

when the ticking stops?

a fear buried beneath

tick tock

tick tock.
